3B Cart

The 3B Cart forms the basis of the ground-breaking RampMate™ system from Crisplant that provides fully automatic and ‘hands-free’ bulk baggage handling. CPH Design conceptualized the system with the 3B Cart as the missing link in the automation of the baggage flow that bridges the gap between the airport and the baggage handler.

The key benefits of the system include significantly lower costs, improved handling efficiencies and traceability of baggage. In addition, manual lifting is avoided, health and safety standards are enhanced and lost working days reduced.

The 3B Cart uses patented ‘Mobile Gravity Feed’ technology. Each cart has 8 gravity lanes and holds up to 40 bags at a time. The baggage box is mounted on to the chassis with a pivot so that it can turn at right angles. This allows loading or unloading at 360 degrees around the direction driven, using gravity alone.
