CPH Design’s Latest Spin-off – 3B Aviation

CPH Design’s new spin-off, 3B Aviation, is the result of a long design process carried out by the design consultancy team. This process began in 1997 as a collaborative effort between CPH Design and Copenhagen Airport. As a result the airport is the first in the world that has a fully automatic luggage handling system from check-in to the cargo room of the aircraft.

CPH Design has established 3B Aviation to promote the 3B Cart System in close cooperation with FKI Logistex. 3B Aviation also promotes two other devices which support the 3B Cart System and the hands free handling of luggage in the airports. Firstly, the 3B Mobi was developed to move the 3B Cart System inside the sorting halls. Secondly, 3B Rampconnector was conceptualized to link the 3B Cart System and traditional beltloaders.

During the last months, 3B Aviation and FKI Logistex have hosted four presentations of the 3B Cart System at Copenhagen Airport. Representatives from airport and ground handler managements of more than 12 European airports have participated.
