Service Design in Roskilde, Denmark
The range of choice and possibility for home help offered to the elderly is either misunderstood or even totally unknown to many of those in need. CPH Design has recently collaborated with the local authority at Roskilde to tackle the issue through the use of ‘service design’. Service design was new to the Roskilde authority and was financed by the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority.
On Friday 25 April CPH Design revealed the results of the project which offers the citizens in the municipality a better service in the future.
The completed service improvements include new procedures for home visits, organisational changes to benefit and reduce costs for the authority, and new initiatives for communication. The project was undertaken through intensive cooperation with the service providers from the Roskilde authority together with end users within the community.
