Our customer, Medotech A/S receives Entrepreneur Award

Grindcare treats bruxism (grinding teeth) by registering and analyzing signals from the body, then sending the result of the analysis back to the body in the form of biofeedback, stimulating the jaw muscles so that they stop grinding.

Grindcare 3.0 is based on an earlier version where the device was worn on a headband while sleeping. CPH Design's solution was to divide the functions into two separate units: a control-device that links wirelessly to a discrete stimulator worn by the patient. CPH Design took a holistic view of the interaction of the user with the device and was also responsible for the design of the graphic interface.
Medotech received the award at Bella Center in Copenhagen Thursday, November 19.

According to the jury:

"The product is innovative and clearly superior to the only current alternative treatment option. Other revolutionary benefits include that the product can, as a first, treat the actual source of the patient's problem, that it enhances the patient’s quality of life, and that it is significantly more user friendly. The need for the product is great, and the market potential is in the billions. This product is aimed at a large and growing population."

It was additionally highlighted that Medotech has achieved growth despite the current economic situation.

Hearty congratulations from CPH Design.
