Mountit system at Designmuseum Danmark
Hand-picked examples of life-enhancing design from INDEX: can be seen from 25 May 2011 at Designmuseum Danmark in Copenhagen.
All of the exhibited designs are carefully selected from the large collection of previous INDEX: Award winners and finalists. Among them is the Mountit system for handling plasterboard, designed by CPH Design.
Through the exhibited designs, the collection aims to communicate the diversity and potential of the concept of "Design to Improve Life".
Mountit was a finalist for the INDEX: Award in 2007 in the Work category. Utilizing user-centered design methods, and an analysis of the workflow involved in handling plasterboard, CPH Design created a system that has demonstrated a 31% improvement in efficiency according to real-life studies made on building sites.
